Melissa has been a dedicated member of Animal Medical Center since 2017, beginning her journey with no experience as a volunteer. Her passion for working with animals led her to a role as a veterinary assistant, and she quickly realized this was her calling. Determined to deepen her knowledge, Melissa enrolled in the veterinary technology program at Joliet Junior College (JJC), where she graduated in 2020 and became a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT).

Melissa continued her academic pursuits at Aurora University, earning a degree in Human-Animal Studies and Biology. After completing her education, she returned to Animal Medical Center, where she worked her way up from ER Assistant Manager to her current position as ER Tech Manager.

Outside of the hospital, Melissa enjoys spending quality time with her two dogs and her husband. Together, they love hiking, staying active, and exploring the outdoors. Melissa and her husband are also excited to begin the next chapter of their lives as they plan to start a family.
