Dr. Veronica Chavez
Dr. Veronica Chavez was born and raised in Waukegan, IL. She received her BS in Biology from Carroll University in 2018. Veronica worked as a veterinary technician in Wisconsin for over a year to confirm that veterinary medicine was her true passion. In 2020, she moved to the island of St. Kitts where she continued her education at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, completed her clinical year at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and received her DVM in 2024.
Outside of work, Veronica enjoys playing in the yard with “the fellas” (6yr old boxer mix: Lincoln, 2yr old pitbull: Nico, and 14yr old chihuahua: Muñeca), or playing with her 5 cats (Pineapple, Hashbrown, Miso, Shrimp, and Ushi). Aside from her fur-babies, she also enjoys hiking, traveling, cooking, and trying new food.
As a new graduate, Dr. Chavez is extremely enthusiastic about meeting all her new clients and the amazing patients that come with them! Her clinical interests include primary care, emergency medicine, as well as soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. Dr. Chavez is fluent in both English and Spanish which will allow us to better accommodate our Spanish speaking families!
