Dr. Kelly McDonough was born and raised in Plainfield, Illinois. She started as a kennel attendant at ACC when she was 18 years old. Dr. Kelly spent 8 years at the University of Illinois, completing her undergraduate studies in 2021 and earning her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in May 2025. 

Dr. Kelly has interests in both general practice and emergency medicine. She loves being able to make long term connections with clients and pets in a general practice setting, and also enjoys the challenge emergency medicine provides. She especially enjoys oncology, surgery, and cardiology.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Kelly enjoys spending any free time with her fiance, friends, family, and her pup, Hudson. She also loves to travel, read, and go hiking.
