Dr. Brianna Clifton

Dr. Brianna Clifton is from the southwest suburbs of Chicago. She played softball at the Division 1 level in all four years of her undergraduate degree. Originally wanting to be a marine biologist, she attended Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. After her freshman year she transferred to Loyola University of Chicago to be closer to home. Dr. Clifton decided she wanted a more direct impact on animal health and welfare, so she changed her focus. In 2022, she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology with an emphasis in evolutionary medicine. Immediately after, Dr. Clifton attended her dream veterinary school at University of Wisconsin-Madison.

During her time in school, she completed many externships at Animal Medical Center of Plainfield where her passion for emergency medicine flourished. After completing her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, she joined the team as an emergency veterinarian. Dr. Clifton’s primary interests are internal medicine and critical care.

Outside of the ER and ICU, Dr. Clifton loves to spend quality time with her family, 4 cats and 3 beagles. She has a passion for rescuing with her latest addition being a former research beagle. Dr. Clifton also enjoys reading classic novels, working out, and traveling the world with her family.
