Dr. Alexis Hanneman received her Bachelor’s in Animal and Veterinary Sciences from Clemson University in 2019, followed by her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University in 2022. Shortly after, she started her career at Animal Medical Center of Plainfield in May, 2022. As a veterinarian, her primary interest is in Small Animal Medicine with a special interest in clinical pathology & behavior.

 She strives to practice high quality medicine and provide her patients the best quality of life possible. Additionally, she firmly believes that client education plays an integral role in patient health and happiness. As medicine evolves and changes, Dr. Alex endeavors to stay on the cutting edge of patient care through research and continuing education.

Dr. Alex has spent most of her life between Louisiana and Illinois. She enjoys spending time with her 10-year-old Siberian Husky, Phoenix, who is definitely appreciating the cold winters of Illinois over the summer heat in Louisiana. She actively works with Phoenix to learn new tricks, as well as growing her passion for graphic design, drawing and painting.
