Dr. Samantha Triani

Dr. Samantha Triani is a recent addition to our growing family. She graduated from the University of Illinois School of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. She always wanted to open her own wildlife sanctuary that worked with species on the endangered species list, so she got her undergraduate degree in business management. Three months into working as an operations manager, she quickly realized this wasn’t the path for her. Dr. Triani started researching veterinary schools and read a few books written by veterinarians. She spent the next year taking all her science pre-requisites and shadowing at various veterinary clinics, including our hospital.

Dr. Triani applied to vet school in 2018 and was accepted to start in August of 2019 with the class of 2023! She enjoys soft tissue surgery and emergency medicine knowing she can help both owner and patient in these situations. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a pet go home after a scary encounter! In school, she also enjoyed her cardiology and ophthalmology rotations and can’t wait to advance her skills in both studies. Dr. Triani has 2 cats (Athena, a 2-year-old Siamese/tabby mix and Charles, a 6-year-old orange tabby) and a dog (Zeus, an 8-year-old Siberian husky) as part of her furry family.

Dr. Triani enjoys reading and has bookshelves filled with books. She also enjoys traveling with her significant other and has been to multiple international countries including Italy, China and Australia! When enjoying a night in, she loves cuddling up with her pets and watching Survivor or the Bachelorette.
